Konrad and his team did an amazing job. From the day I first reached out to have him come and look at the job, he was always on time, highly professional and very thorough and detail oriented with all of the work that was done. Konrad was very responsive to all of my questions and requests for any additional items that needed to be taken care of, and all requests were handled promptly. The transformation that he gave to my house is really unbelievable, I am so pleased with the outcome and proud that our old family house has a new lease on life.
Description of Work: We had to renovate and update a 120 year old house that was last worked on in the 1950s.

It was great. Konrad first rescued us from another contractor who took a 30,000.00 deposit and six months later still hadn’t even applied for a permit to do the work (another ugly story). Konrad was able to get the estimate to me quickly, and get the permitting process going while starting on the portions of the work that didn’t require permits. He was tactful with a very difficult condo association and handled all the paperwork, permitting, signage, and surprise inspections with ease. He was helpful and communicated to me immediately when there was a problem or a delay. Every bill was presented as a portion of my original estimate, so I could see exactly where that week’s labor and materials fit into my overall budget and the work’s progress. He would tell me when something I picked or decided didn’t necessarily fit with the apartment’s aesthetic, and I frequently agreed with him. When I didn’t he happily complied with what I wanted. He was really a pleasure.
Description of Work: Complete demo and remodel of a one bedroom condo including electrical upgrade, plumbing, flooring, wall repair, closet doors and doorframes, exterior doors, and lighting. Complete bathroom and near complete kitchen remodel.

I live on the West Coast and the repairs were being made to a multi-family house on the East coast……. presenting me with a real challenge….. Finding a contractor that I could work with long distance and that I could trust to undertake significant repairs and upgrades to an older building without much supervision. After getting bids for the first phase of the work from several contractors, I flew East to meet with Konrad, to walk the property and sign the contract. I visited the site only twice after that, despite the fact that the project extended over many months, because I felt confident that Konrad was honest, would do quality work and that his pricing was fair. I’ve had several bad experiences with contractors over the years, but I must say, working with Konrad was an absolute delight because of his professionalism, reliability, responsiveness, and the quality of his work. I would not hesitate to hire him again, or recommend his company to friends and family.
Description of Work: Konrad and his crew removed and replaced damaged studs and parts of the sill plate, removed the stucco from the entire exterior of the house, installed insulation and then resided the entire building. He removed and replaced an entire kitchen, upgraded several bathrooms, replaced many windows and doors, and installed a new roof and siding. He also worked on several existing decks to bring them up to the current code.

OUSTANDING, EXCELLENT, THE BEST. i cannot say enough good things about Warsaw HI’s service. This was an extensive renovation of an 8,600 sf house and Konrad and his team finished on schedule and under budget, despite some significant engineering challenges and our moving in midway through the process. Walls were broken for demolition at the end of March, and the project was essentially finished by July 4. Given the amount of work done, this is simply astonishing and no one I know doing work in the area has had their work done as well and as fast. My father was a GC, and I have never met a more professional GC than Konrad. He was true to his word on everything, he never overpromised and he never failed to exceed expectations. He was prompt in providing a budget, fair and honorable with respect to change orders and the workmanship is beyond meticulous. Planning, Budgeting and Staffing: From the very first contact, Konrad was thoughtful and careful. He provided a solid and detailed estimate of the project costs and timing before the final plans were even drawn up and helped in the project planning process with the architect and engineer. His proposal once the plans were drafted was very detailed and accurate and he did an excellent job explaining the timeline and planning for the demolition and construction. His team (including all of his Subs) are outstanding and similarly provided top level work. He also had a veritable army working on multiple projects and did an oustanding job staging the work to speed the project along. The Work: Warsaw’s work consistently is top notch and exhibits attention to detail that is unrivaled. The quality of the workmanship and materials is first rate. One example: Konrad built all of his cabinets from scratch. I know this because he built them on site, starting from plywood boards for the boxes to the trim and drawers. His woodworking is the best of his many top level skills. While building the center island for our kitchen, I saw Konrad standing and staring at the shelves at one end. I asked what he was doing and he told me he was unhappy with the placement of the 3 vertical dividers because one cubby was 1/8″ larger than the other two and he was going to redo it. Konrad and his team are also problem solvers. Our house was built in 1944 with additions and renovations in 1980, 1995 and 2000. This presented a number of engineering issues and unforseen complications as walls and floors were opened up. None of this slowed the project down and in each case, Konrad provided insightful workarounds or alternatives to accomplish our goals. Intangibles Konrad and his team are a pleasure to work with and to be around. This is a critical but overlooked trait. He and his team were in our house 6 days a week for several months (my 4 yr olds were sad when the workmen stopped coming). They were pleasant and courteous, and meticulous about clean up. Konrad has a very good sense of humor and a very calming demeanor. They are also some of the hardest working people I have ever met.

They did high end bathroom remodel. It was great. We found them through his friend. The quality of workmanship was great. They were easy to work with. They have experience with high end home building. They came when they said they would. They did great job.

They did a lot of kitchen work for us. They put in cabinets, trim work and painting. We are having them do some attic extension. They did a good job, we are happy. They come right away and very honest!

These guys are timely, professional, clean and honest. We live on the edge of a high rent area and I am often afraid we pay a premium for our zipcode. Not the case here. We got a lot for our money.

I only wish that I had met Konrad, the owner of WHI, 35 years ago when I began my career as an Interior Designer. He, and his team, have been working on ALL of my high-end projects for several years now… they have been the biggest joy in my professional life! The workmanship, constant attention to detail, meticulous accountability and timely execution of all the projects assigned to him, are unsurpassed in the construction world. Konrad has earned the trust and admiration of every one of my clients, which is of utmost importance to me and my staff, and has contributed to the harmonious completion of all of my designs. I have not had a single sleepless night since he has been on the job!

My two car garage was badly damage during the past winter storms that hit my area and I had to tear it down as it was not fixable. I requested a few estimates from some of my local contractors and Konrad came through under my planned budget. I was a little skeptical at first since this was the first major overhaul I’d tackle on my property. But Konrad was very reassuring of his work and had referrals from high end property owners (including pictures of previous worked preformed). He recommend that we go with a one car garage instead of the two we originally had to open up the backyard and offer more space to entertain and my kids to play in. I have to say that my wife and I are very impressed with the final product and we are already in talks with Konrad on my next project, fixing my main roof that was also badly damage as well! All of the problems that come with renovating an existing structure were addressed well and at a reasonable cost. Overall, we were on budget, and better yet, on time!
